Fuel Injector Cylinder 1 - P0201 Base DTC
P0301/P0316 are both results from the P0201 DTC. The Cylinder 1 Fuel Injector has an internal fault which has completely taken away fuel to cylinder 1. Rectifying this should result in the Misfire DTCβs going away as well.

Evap System Too Lean - P0171
During testing of the Fuel Injectors, the battery had to be removed. Once the battery was removed it was discovered that the brake booster evap line was disconnected from the Intake book directly after the MAF, this can βconfuseβ the computer into thinking the vehicle is running leaner than intended. Recommended to drive through one drive cycle and reassess fuel trims.
Fuel Trim Analysis
| Data Point | Pre-Repair | Post-Repair | Diagnostic Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| STFT (Short Term) | +15% to +18% | -1% to +2% | π’ Corrected |
| LTFT (Long Term) | +22% | +3% | π’ Corrected |
| Fuel System Status | Lean Command | Normal | π’ Closed Loop |
Technician Logic: The elevated +22% Long Term Fuel Trim confirmed the engine was compensating for a massive air leak. After reconnecting the EVAP line to the intake boot, the trims returned to a normal range, verifying the unmetered air leak is resolved.
